Tony Craun loves a good challenge. The common theme throughout his professional life has been his driven, see problem, solve problem approach. That’s the mindset and skill set that he brings to Sand Hill today.

As Chief Operations Officer, Tony’s role spans many parts of the firm. The all-encompassing nature of his job is exactly what he loves about it. Tony oversees and manages day-to-day operations as well as our client service, technology platforms, and trading team. His work in managing the firm’s custodians and serving on the national Fidelity Service Steering Committee, has helped strengthen our relationships with these strategic partners to the benefit of our clients. He is also a member of Sand Hill’s Executive Committee, a small team charged with setting the firm’s long-term strategic course. Tony has over 20 years experience in the financial industry and still works closely with clients, including executives, entrepreneurs, multi-generation investors, and institutions. He specializes in situations with complex financial positions requiring unique investment strategies including hedge funds, venture capital, and private equity.

Outside of the office, Tony loves spending time with his wife and three children, including taking regular trips to visit family around the country—from Hawaii to Washington, D.C. An avid sports fan, he grew up playing every kind of sport and loves his Minnesota teams. Inspired by his teacher mother and public servant father, Tony is committed to service and helping others which shows up every day in his work with clients and the Sand Hill team.
