The span of Jay Amini’s career has led him through the service and financial industries. He established a reputation for organizational leadership with expertise in accounting and financial analysis, and his unwavering dedication to his role as controller boils down to a simple and tested philosophy: watch out for the money and the company’s highest interests.

Jay decided to make Sand Hill Global Advisors his professional home because he valued the longevity of our employees and our sense of community. As our Senior Financial Controller, Jay is responsible for executing all of the firm’s internal and external reporting as well as ensuring these documents comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principals. Jay maintains Sand Hill’s financial policies, procedures and reporting systems, and also spearheads our independent third-party auditing process each year.

Growing up, Jay split his time between school and honing his skills on the classical piano. He savors both of these passions today, and eagerly shares his love for music and education with his two children and our CEO. His favorite pieces are by Tchaikovsky and Chopin, but it’s his dedication to the Sand Hill team that’s music to our ears.
